AUSTRIA

In 1850 Austria was ruled with Hungary and Lombardy-Venetia by a Monarchy. In 1867 the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy was formed. In 1918 Austria and Hungary established their own states. Austria was now know as German Austria (Deutschosterreich), but soon after changed its name to Austria. In 1938 German forces occupied Austria and soon after it became part of the German Reich. In 1945 Austria again became a independent republic.
