AZERBAIJAN

Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia made up the Transcaucasian Federation of the Soviet Republics. Azerbaijan began to use the stamps of Transcaucasian Federation Republics in 1923. In 1991 the Soviet Union brokeup and Azerbaijan issued its own stamps and joined with 10 other Soviet Republics to form the Commonwealth of Independent states.
