Between the years 1855 and 1885 Bangkok used stamps from the British Colony "Straits Settlements." An overprint B was used on the stamp to identify it as a Bangkok issued stamp. Bangkok stop usings Straits Settlements stamps in 1885 and began to use stamps from Siam. An example of a Bangkok overprint is as follows:
