BURUNDI

Burundi was part of the Ruanda-Urundi territory until 1962 when it gained its independence. In 1962 it temporarily used stamps from Ruanda-Urundi territory with an overprint for its postage. Later in 1962 Burundi began to issue its own stamps. Some examples of Burundi stamps are as follows:
