CAMEROONS

Cameroons was occupied or control by Germany, Great Britian, and France in the late 1800's and early 1900's. All stamps issued for Cameroons postage were from these countries, or other countries with overprints stamped on them. Cameroons used stamps of Nigeria with an overprint in British control territory for postage until 1960. When it joined the independent State of Cameroun in 1961 to create the Federal Republic of Cameroun. Some examples of the overprints is as follows:
