COLOMBIA

The country of Columbia was renamed many times in its history. In the years 1858-1861 it was named Granadine Confederation. In 1861 it was named the United States of New Granada. In the years 1861-1885 it was named the United States of Colombia. Finally it was named Republic of Colombia in 1885 and has kept that name since then. Colombia began to issue stamps in 1859 under the name of Granadine Conferderation. Some examples of a Colombia stamps is as follows:
