Croatia became an independent state in 1941 and issued their own stamps until 1945 when it joined the Yugoslav Federation. In 1991 Croatia broke away from the Yugoslav Federation and gained its independence. Croatia began to issue their own stamps again in the same year. Some examples of Croatia stamps is as follows:
