DANZIG

Danzig issued stamps of Germany with an overprint for postage until 1920 when it became a free State. While it was a free state, it issued its own stamps. In 1939 however, it was seized by Germany when they invaded Poland. After World War II Danzig became a part of Poland. Some examples of Danzig stamps is as follows:
