ETHIOPIA

Ethiopia began to issue stamps in 1895. In 1936 Italy invaded Ethiopia and occupational stamps were issued. Also stamps from Italian East Africa, Eritrea and Somalia were used until 1941when Ethiopia was liberated by the British. During the British rule stamps of Great Britian and Kenya were used. The British left Ethiopia in 1942. Ethiopia joined in a union with Eritrea in 1952. Some examples of Ethiopia stamps is as follows:
