French Equatorial Africa was created when the colonies of Gabon and the Middle Congo were joined together in 1910. Each of the colonies issued its owns stamps. Ubangi-Chari and Chad were united with French Equatorial Africa in 1934 and also issued there own colony stamps. In 1936 the union of the French Equatorial Africa was complete, and all the colonies started to issue stamps in that name. In 1958, French Equatorial Africa broke up into four republics: Chad, Congo, Gabon and Central African Republic. Some examples of French Equatorial Africa stamps is as follows:
