GREECE
OCCUPATION STAMPS

Greece occupied the Aegeans Islands, and parts of Western Turkey during the Balkan wars in 1912. These territories were know as Chios, Icaria, Lemnos, Mytilene, and Samos located in Aegean Islands. Parts of Turkey occupied were renamed New Greece, and consisted of Cavalla and Dedeagatch. Greece also occupied and issued stamps in North Epirus and the Dodecanese Islands.
