Hong Kong an island of China was being administrated by Great Britain beginning in 1842. China then leased the island to Great Britain in 1898 for 99 years. Great Britain has released Hong Kong rule back to China since the lease expired. Hong Kong issued its first stamp for postage in 1862. Some examples of Hong Kong stamps is as follows:
