IVORY COAST

Ivory Coast was a former French colony and used French colony stamps for postage until it could issue its own. In 1945 it became part of French West Africa and issued their stamps for postage. Ivory Coast gained its independence in 1960 and began to issue its own stamps again. Some examples of the Ivory Coast stamps is as follows:
