KARELIA

Karelia was a republic of the Soviet Union. In 1921 it broke form Soviet Russia for a short period and began to issue stamps. Stamps of Finland were also issued with and without an overprint in Karelia during the Finnish occupation in the 1940s. Some examples of Karelia stamps is as follows:
