LATAKIA

Latakia was a French protected territory that used the stamps of Syria with an overprint for postage. In 1937 the stamps of Latakia were replaced with the stamps of Syria. An example of a Latakia stamp is as follows: LATTAQUIE (Overprinted on stamps of Syria.)
