LITHUANIA

Lithuania was an independent country until 1940 when it joined with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Lithuania issued its first stamp in 1918, and its last stamp in 1940 when the stamps of the Soviet Union replaced the stamps of Lithuania. In 1991 the Soviet Union broke up and Lithuania declared its independence and began to issue Its own stamps again. Some examples of Lithuania stamps is as follows:
