Mali issued it first stamp in 1959 and last stamp in 1960. It consisted of the Republic of Senegal and the French Sudan. In 1960 the two joined countries broke up. The French Sudan then renamed itself the Republic of Mali and Senegal became a republic. A example of a Mali stamp is as follows:
