MEMEL

Memel was a part of Germany and used the stamps of Germany with an overprint for postage. After WWI Germany lost Memel and the Stamps of France were used with an overprint for postage. In 1924 Lithuania occupied Memel and the stamps of Lithuania and France were used for postage with and without an overprint. Some examples of Memel stamps is as follows:
