Niger Coast Protectorate was formerly know as Oil Rivers Protectorate goverened by the British. It issued it first stamp in 1892. Niger Coast was absorbed by Northern Nigeria in 1900; and the samps of Northern and Southern Nigeria replaced the stamp of Niger Coast Protectorate.
