PONTA DELGADA

Ponta Delgada is a district of Portugal governed by the Azores. It consist of two islands, Sao Miguel and Santa Maria. Ponta Delgada issued its first stamp in 1892, and its last stamp in 1905. The stamps of the Azores replaced the stamps of Ponta Delgada until 1931 when the stamps of Portugal replaced the stamps of the Azores and Ponta Delgada.
