15 Cents Landing of Columbus Design of 1869

The difference between type I and type II is that type II has a three lines running in parallel under "POSTAGE", and these lines are shape into an ornament in the center between the two arrows shown in the illustration. One of the ornaments is shape like a diamond and the other like two humps. Type I has only two lines with no ornaments. Type III is not shown, but it has a shade of brown in the lines on the sides and bottom of the stamp picture.
