For only $57.99 you get this Canada Post Star Trek II Issue. Designed by Kosta Testsekas and Adrian Horvath from Signals Design Group; and issued on April 27, 2017. This issue features a pane of 5 shown below that contains stamps that depict each of the captains from each Star Trek TV Series with their villain in the background. It begins with Captain James T. Kirk vs Khan Noonien Singh, next Captain Picard vs Locutus of Borg, next Captain Sisko vs Dukat, next Captain Janeway vs the Borg Queen and lastly Captain Archer vs Commander Dolim. All four spaceships and one starbase are depicted on the pane from each TV series. A special Borg $5.00 stamp is included with the Prestige stamp booklet only. This stamp is both embossed and debossed and enhanced with holographic foil. The Prestige stamp booklet contains 25 pages that include five souvenir sheets with actual images and quotes from the show CBS archives. Some pages also include a brief explanation of the actual image from the show. Scott number for the pane of 5 is 2983 and the Scott number for the Prestige booklet 2984b
The size of the pane of 5 is 160mm x 181mm, and the size of the Prestige booklet is 171mm x 96mm. They were both printed by Lowe Martin using the Lithography 4 and 5 color printing process with PVA gum type. Quantity printed of each is 85,000 pane of 5, and 75,000 prestige booklet. |
